8 random things

i was tagged by claire to write 8 random things about myself. since i haven't done any knitting of late i thought i'd do this instead! here go:

i) i've been living in north london, working as a junior web designer, for 9 months now and i am the happiest i've ever been - i can't see myself moving or changing for a long time.
ii) half my family is french/polish but sadly the language is lost to me now.
iii) bananas make me physically sick. i even get nauseous if i see someone eating one or catch the slightest smell. talking of food, i'm a vegetarian and remain convinced that the main food groups are salt, chilli, toast, and mayonnaise.
iv) i'm quite smart - my IQ is way above MENSA level - but i generally come across as a bit stupider cos i'm clumsy and tend not to speak up a lot
v) my dream dinner party would feature stephen fry, eddie izzard, lauren laverne, johnny depp and michel gondry.
vi) i am definitely a cat person. i want a kitten really badly but i need a bigger flat and more time to look after him first.
vii) my favourite smells are lavender, grass, and lemon; my favourite colour is green; i am attracted to all things kitsch and shiny.
viii) someday i'm going to open a knitting/record/tea shop, it'll be fantastic.

Oh wow, Polish-French. I didn't realise that. Half of my family is Polish-Danish, I've decided to make an effort to learn Polish when I'm a little older (and done with studying French) to please my grandfather and also because it's getting kind of necessary, speaking Polish in London.

Hi! I just discovered your blog and your talent. I didn't see any other method of contacting you so I apologize for doing this in the comment section. I saw this sweater today - http://burdastyle.com/pattern/show/35

and was wondering if you would have any suggestions as to where I could find a similar pattern.
Thanks and I look forward to reading your blog!

I have the same dream about the knitting/record/teashop! My family think I'm mad for wanting to open one but who knows maybe I will one day! :)
