here we go! scuse the profusion of pics, i love the natural light here at home.
1. fairisle hearts raglan

materials: king cole merino dk yarn (about 6 balls, colour 'mink'); coloured scraps from my stash; 4.5mm denise interchangeable circs
construction notes: very simple top down raglan - cast on number of stitches needed for neck circumference, place markers to split stitches 15%/35%/15%/35%. increase each side of markers every other round until it fits and knit arms and body in round, shaping as needed. fair-isled yoke using my own chart - here if anyone wants it.
2. happy cloud raglan

materials: as above, using colour 'clerical'
construction notes: same as above but i worked flat, adding a button band and intarsia pattern - chart here
i'm pretty happy with both of these sweaters. blocking makes the yarn lovely and silky soft, although they both grew a little too much so are a bit big. i think they'll both get plenty of wear this a/w though, and my sister is after one too!
up next? i've cast on for the rebel jacket using some khaki-marl green wool from my stash.
Welcome to my blog. I'm Katie, web designer by day; sporadic knitter by night.

Very cute! I've started the Razor Cami and should have finished pictures to show within the week!
Your sweaters are so super awesome! I love your work and all the details. Great job.
very Delias. I really like...:-)
Im so glad you posted pics of you wearing them, they look even cuter! They both look like something you would find in one of those supercool Japanese knitting books.

Very, very pretty!
You are so talented. Your sweaters are so cute!
they are both great specially the cloudy one
They are fab! What a great job :)
I am in love with the fair-isle sweater. I think i might have to add it to the list of things to knit (though I'm afraid it's about 100 items long!)
Cheers for tips on top-down raglans. I've been looking for patterns but can't find any so think I'll have to design one based on that info.
